Interesting Sighting Details of the Mokele Mbembe
In the first encounter reported in a log book in 1776,
a french priest, found large fresh tracks or prints
on the ground near the river. The tracks had huge
claw marks, the priest noted in the log, "We never
saw the beast, but it had to be monstrous".
In a 1909 encounter it was described as looking
like half-elephant and half-dragon.
An expedition in 1976 to the area, saw nothing,
but when native residents of the area were shown
different photos of creatures, they recognized it as
a sauropod dinosaur, and had no doubts it was the
same creature they have sighted.
In a 1981 expedition, the group heard a huge spash
near the Likouala River in the Congo, they also
discovered the giant footprints an broken and
smashed plants near the area. Before leaving, they
talked to a highly respected police officer who said he
got within 30 feet of the creature.
Webmasters Comments About This Case
There has been tons of sightings of this creature, from
local residents, famed explorers, priests, police
officials and others. Certanily they are seeing some type
of creature, like a dinosaur.
Could there really be a dinosaur still alive in the congo
area. The area is still rather primitive and very
unsearched even yet today. It's thick woods, swamps,
deadly snakes and natives, keep most explorers and
others away. But in this case, I would say were dealing
with just another spirtual trickster, it's no different than
any of the other creatures mentioned on this website.
Remember a demon (spirtual being), can take on any
form it wants, leave tracks, make noises, etc.
