Description of the Flatwoods Monster
This creature was sighthed by numerous people,
and was reported to be nearly 10 feet tall. It
appeard non-human, lilke some kind of robot or
alien. It had a large round face with two large
round eyes, the face was reddish in color. The face
and head area was covered with a pointed hood or
covering, almost like an upturned funnel. The
creatures body was a very dark green or almost
colorless. The lower half of the creatures body was
fanned out, like a dress.

Interesting Sighting Details of the Flatwoods Monster
Before the creature was sighthed there had been
several UFO reports throughout the USA earlier
that same day.
A flaming object was seen trailing accross the
nighttime sky and slowly falling on the flatwoods
area. One witness, who was a local business man,
had a close up look of the UFO as it passed by him.
It was described as being the size of a garage that
a car could just fit in. It ws shaped like a clam shell
with a slanted or pointed wing or fin on the rear. The
main body of the craft was a dull reddish pink or
orange color, and the whole top of the object glowed
white like a mercury vapor light.
Three witnesses saw the thing crash,
and ran to a nearby house to get flashlights and head
to the area. When the three witnesses arrived at the
crash area, they came upon the creature.
The creature was roughly 10 feet tall, see description
above. The first three witnesses said the creature glided
towards, then away from them, making a hissing sound
and dripping a fluid that was similar to oil, but had a
very strong odor of burnt metal. The odor or hissing
sound made all three witnesses very sick to their
stomachs. Later a group of men armed with shotguns
searched the area, but found no sight of the creature,
but the odor still hung in the air.
Soon after the craft and creature sightings, the area was
cordoned off by members of the US Military. One man
who was there and spoke a little about the incident years
later was COLONEL DALE LEAVITT of the WV National
Guard. Dale Leavitt was ordered to the flatwoods crash
site by USAF Officials. Mr. Leavitt in an interview later said,
"There was something here that could fly backwards or
anywhere they wanted to go. It definately was'nt a meteor,
the officals don't dispatch troops to a meteor crash site, this
was some kind of coverup"

This was almost another Roswell, in fact in a way it was,
except this case is not as well known, like the incident
that occurred later in kecksville Pennsylvania.
